If you have taken any time at all to study the topic of success, then it’s a pretty good bet that you have ran across lots of people talking about their morning routine, the things they do to get their day started or the habits that they attribute their success to.
While there are as many variations of the perfect list as there are people talking about the “perfect way to start your day”, when you compare the morning routines of ultra successful people from all walks of life, a few things really begin to stick out.

That’s right, successful people wake up early. It’s not uncommon for people who are ultra successful to be up at 5AM getting their day started off the right way. Now, I know that you might be saying “If I have to get up at 5AM, am I really so successful?” Well, the answer to that question is in the wording. Successful people don’t “have to” get up at 5AM, they want to. There is a great success quote that says, “Create A Vision That Makes You Want To Jump Out of Bed Every Morning.” That is what successful people have and it is just one of the reason that you will find them up early and focusing on creating the best day of their lives.
#2 : Successful People Write Down Their Goals Before They Start Their Day
One of the biggest reasons that people fail to achieve their greatest life and to have the success they deserve is that they fail to write down the things they want to accomplish. And, just to be clear, I am not talking about 5 year goals, 1 years goals, or even monthly goals. While those are all very important, I am talking about daily accomplishments.
I want you to think about this simple act. You wake up and you take a few minutes to “physically” write down the things you are going to get done that day. You look at that list and then you get started. As you go through your day, you refer back to the list to keep you on track and you check off the items as they are completed. Imagine how much you would get done. Imagine the feeling of accomplishment as you checked off the items one by one. Now, imagine doing that incredibly simple thing every single day. How much success would you have in your life. That is why successful people write down their goals everyday.
#3 Successful People Meditate In The Morning
Meditation. For some of us – including myself – it is kind of a weird word. But, I can tell you from experience that it doesn’t have to be. There are many forms of meditation and it can be used to accomplish anything that you “put your mind to.” Meditation is all about getting clear on what is truly important to your life and creating the focus and intention to accomplish those things.
We are all bombarded with distraction, both from an expansive level and also from the constant thoughts “running” through our head. Meditation – or finding your focus and intention – helps to create clear out those distractions, focus your energy on those goals that you wrote down and create the intention to get them done. That’s why you will find this personal time built into the morning schedules of the most successful people in history.
#4 : Successful People Give Thanks For What They Have
You’ve probably heard that you are supposed to be grateful. Now, sometimes that is easy. When someone does something for you, most of us are grateful. When luck is going your way, being grateful comes easy. For the most successful people throughout history, you will find that they live in a place of constant gratitude. They understand that the energy and the thoughts a person puts out into the world is the energy and the thoughts they receive back.
In every situation, no matter whether it could be perceived as good or bad, there is a reason to be grateful. There is always something to be learned and each time we learn we grow closer to out ultimate success. No matter how small something may seem, there is always a reason to be grateful.
Successful people know this and take time in the morning to recognize the people, the moments, the experiences, the things in their life that they are grateful for. By doing this, not only do they create their own personal realization of abundance, but they also send incredible waves of energy into their world. You know what they say “What goes around comes around!” Take a moment today to tell the world what you are grateful for and the world will give you more and more and more.
#5 : Successful People Exercise
Your body is temple. I am sure you have heard that before so let me ask you a question. Let’s imagine that you achieve all the things that you dream about and you arrive on that day with everything you could ever want. Now, imagine that on that day, your body begins to breakdown. You have all the toys, but you can’t play with them. You have all the people you want in your life, but you can’t spend time with them. You have all the money you could ever dream of, but you now have to spend it on trying to stay alive and maintain what little health you have left. That’s not really success is it?
It’s been said that the richest man on earth would pay his entire fortune for just one more day of life. And successful people know this to be true. That’s why they exercise and take care of their body on a daily basis. You only have one body and the success you desire will be nothing if you aren’t healthy enough to enjoy it.
Now that we have covered these five acts that create incredible success, I want you to imagine something. What would your life be like if you actually did these things? What would it be like if you woke up just a little earlier everyday. And since you are up a little earlier, you took a moment to write down the things that you were going to accomplish that day. Once you had you list, you found a quite place to focus your mind on all the incredible things you already have, give thanks for how amazing your life already is and to focus your energy into creating an incredible day. How amazing would it feel to begin everyday knowing that you are taking care of you body so that you can enjoy they success and amazing life that you deserve.
